Creating his own version of Petroglyphs found throughout the Southwest, and featured in the River of Time Museum, Jon WATTO Watson weaves a tale in metal of a clan of indigenous peoples who live and work together to survive every day in the beautiful, scorchingly hot desert. Each piece, made of steel, is carefully crafted by WATTO in his Tucson studio and then rusted and sealed. They’re made to be enjoyed outside in the garden or featured on an indoor wall. These pieces are all standing sculptures.

Horse (13.7”h x 6.25” w x 2”d)

Running wild through the mountains, or standing still in the meadow, the Horse is a powerful symbol of freedom and beauty.

Warrior (5.5”h x 1.625″ x 1.5”d)

Standing tall and proud with spear in hand, the brave Warrior is poised, ready to fight and protect the clan.

Rainmaker (5.5”h x 3”w x 1.5”d)

The Rainmaker is one of the spiritual leaders of the clan. He guides them through prayer and dance, asking for rain to cool the desert and to produce a bountiful harvest.

Mother (8.5”h x 2.5”w x 1.5”d)

The Mother gives life to the tribe, holding her newborn close to her heart, protecting the child from harm. She will nurture and educate her child in the ways of the world.
